 The Valley Inn was conceived by restaurateur Jim Otto shortly after World War II. Since and without ever closing owners Sophia Brodetsky and those before her (Josephine Kumpula, Jack Gold and Chef Peter Trump) have maintained the excellence of service and choice foods for lunch and dinner through the years. It has long been a meeting place for commuters breaking freeway monotony. At the mahogany bar shipped around Cape Horn more than 100 years ago National Hall of Fame bar tender Bob Freen will serve you and discuss the Saloons favorite subject: Sports. Hence the inscribed photos such as Jack Dempsey, Babe Ruth, Bob Waterfield, Sandy Koufax, County Bill Varga, Alice Marble and Sugar Ray Robinson. |
